Today, October 26th, sees the anniversary of the birth of a true abstract pioneer, the Swedish artist Hilma Af Klint.
Producing her striking abstract works well before those of Mondrian, Kandinsky and Malevich came on the scene, this extraordinary painter was truly a 'first-footer' in the world of abstract art.
